2 cups sugar
2 cups flower
3 or 4 bananas (if they are smaller I use 4 if they are larger 3 works just fine)
2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp milk
1 cup butter (can also use 1/2 cup, or 1 stick of butter and 1/2 cup applesauce)
preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl
let the mixture sit for about 20 minutes! (I read once to leave it for an hour, but nobody’s got time for that, I let it sit for 20 and it still comes out fantastic, this step really helps with not having a dry bread)
pour into a loaf pan (use a larger one, this makes a good size bread)
bake for 55-65 minutes
*every oven cooks slightly differently so I always check at the 55 minute mark, stick a toothpick or butter knife in the center to see if it is done. If it comes out clean, take that baby out and start to cool, if not let her bake for another 5-10 min and check again until the utensil comes out clean.
**do not panic and take the bread out if it is looking dark to you. That color is okay and does not mean that it is burning or going to be dry. Trust me, use the toothpick trick to tell if its done.
take a butter knife to loosen up the sides and let cool for 30 minutes
